The concomitant progressions that give the illusion of regression

Living on a credit card burgeoning towards its limit does occur flowingly and easier than the cutting out of the extravagances of this yet unearned expenditure. Facing up to the consequences of borrowing on a steep repayment rate is the harder part especially when lucidity is improving on one's lack of liquidity and capacity to repay. So here we are, the country Zimbabwe and government awaken and now pick up the longtime-kicked-down-the-road cans; the bitter pills now have to be swallowed whole. The prescription packet was written boldly: mazuva ese katatu pazuva! Everyone agrees; vowawa mushonga uyu, umm!

In the same environment before, was a dominant man and woman who neither tolerated curtailing the extravagant manners nor their being the discussion furnishing our daily public discourse. There was around them elements who would even obliterate media houses for attempting to do so. Now that munhu aisachema nekuvharwa muromo ozhakarara, zvonzi nhamo yatanga kupinda nhasi. No! Disease enters in moments of more joyful sighs with the required surgical treatment needing anaesthetic influence to save you from wailing to death! Tiri kuchema nekuti tarwara! But, we are on the treatment table for the time that is required for safe surgery. Prof. Ncube cures the disease without killing the patient.

It is now very permissible to express yourself freely, it is now permissible to oppose freely and it is now permissible as it should have always been, to campaign everywhere freely in this environment. Ndokuchema kwacho even when speaking to the clinicians. The democratic space has been opened up! You can seek second opinion but the doctor who is operating, is the doctor who is operating.

Pane gotokoto rinomeya richiti reform:

The economy has to take the formula to stabilise and make a strong base for an upward trajectory. No patching up, no feja feja, but the requirement is professorial adherence to the practical, competitive, disciplined and safest steps that make up both effective fiscal and monetary policy. Adherents to this are needed as heroes of today and tomorrow. Mind you, this is in a system that has remnants of poisonous agendas in the markets, be them black be them clear of colour! These markets! The happenings here as done by the government are examples of reform and in this environment they require tact, timing and time. The environment is changing, and for sure, those who want to see more that assures, they will wait before they make positive contributory moves. But the environment is being......... reformed!

So there is a lot of wailing. Yes indeed. Austerity spelled out as in the TSP is not in the form of a non-perturbing, quick and forgettable pinch. It is a harsh season of an adverse wind that shakes even the Boababs! For those that stand on rotting connecting fibres, surely a fall is not unexpected. It is a strong reforming and testing wind. Good crop of our economy and society however finds favour at being cultivated and firmed at the roots for the seasons and further reasons to come. Chero isu povo; when we see waywardness, this austerity will teach us to make sure tomorrow the Mugabe chete chete false starts are not repeated. Hatizvibvumire futi!

I always speak of the importance of understanding and contributing towards transformation when it is still a plan, and later as well, buying into the effectiveness of its transactions. What we are pained by was clearly spelled out and time-lined. If we cry with shock from our inattentive existence, it is a shame for we are woefully disengaged. If we cry because we want to change the plan, we need a clear alternative that provides the improved sustainable cure and not blind transfer of executive power. Kufurirana nekufurirwa taramba. Our cries should be communicative in dialogues and in policy thinking. Street chaos is a cry that never delivers comparable and commendable outputs. Fellow citizen, it is time we cry both instrumentally and constructively but not obstructively. If even we wish to cry prescriptively, we need to show deep understanding and improvements in the proof of our proposed concepts. Let’s go deeper!

Our expressions of despair need too to be well studied. What level of understanding (not acceptance or comfort) do they have in economic recovery? Giving an example; IMF advise against increments versus fair salary adjustments versus internal and external political forces affecting both IMF and the teachers. How does such a situation read in the mind of the general person? How far are they realistic in their idea on characteristics of our required economic reform and the timelines of succeeding against issues like corruption? How compatible is any alternative with a Zimbabwe that retains, controls and optimises its current resource capacity? What influences are due and which are undue? How long did the ordinary man and woman expect for a deal to move from signing to safely running factories, mines and industries providing well paying jobs? How long does this take in the mind of the ordinary person? "Huchi nemukaka mangwana chaiye"? The weighing of psychology and cost opportunities within pursuance of instant gratification are for another day, but they do need integration into reviewing some mental schemas in and on Zimbabwe. Kuchemera zvine tariro! Kuchemera zvine musoro! And this is pursuance of reasonable empathy. It is important that as a country  to understand that beyond mastery of the complexities and sophistication of statecraft, we will find ourselves in a better place where we cry, or cry not, on reform that is seen or going unseen.

When parliament is not a target of protest but just a fallow field bereft of progressive ideological combat

You would know how the sitting members are there post election results that are largely uncontested. You would also appreciate the freedom of expression our representatives enjoy in and outside the house. Chero paTwitter kana paFacebook! You would also know how much their expressions everywhere are weighted on sharing feasible plans against the weight of mere political posturing. Pane chiri too heavy, hationi here isu? They are free to express themselves, free to prioritise and free to lead in showing clear examples of what they cry against or to show how what they stand for works! Here I repeat, urban councils are a shambles financially and governance wise. The choice of focus is there but amongst options some choose posturing! All this to pollute the atmosphere through which the country is transiting. Backing power horses not solution horses. The alternative they ignore is an environment of iron sharpening iron. Current steps measured in yards and time and analysed against the claimed leaps from an engaged opposition. I tell you, they are now so much enjoying their freedom to the point of freeing themselves of their duties! Ko why not, “Mthuli I am better at economics and finance and this is what I would do with Pogba's money!”?  Is someone refusing to take a penalty here? Asi anoziwa harimwe goal bhora?

I see the concomitant existence of a free people who are voicing their pain of the current transient economic hardships together with being in an environment they can say what they want. They are also in an environment they are seeing a freedom to abdicate on what they should be doing! Here I remind you, freedom has never been about doing what you feel is right for yourself and upon others. It is about living within the confines of the agreeable social contract of rights in a shared space such that despite other variances, your own ways will be acceptable where and when tables turn. So we can’t argue for a freedom that allows us precedence setting;changing government by protesting the known milestones of its necessary actions as is mandated for it to deliver. Yet no one argues within their own freedom for RELOAD together with SMART to be argued toe to toe against the TSP and Vision 2030? Why not extending the freedom to then demand that these public servants argue their positions and we cream off! It is dialogue irikutaurwa ka iyi? Pane anosara? Anosarireyi

There is progress in Zimbabwe despite those who deny it and those that want to deny it to us or even to themselves. The difference in the events in the environment is telling. These concomitant elements are evidence. It is clear despite even some alleged abductions or staged abductions here and there by those that want to implicate on a history of a dispensation put to bed. This is despite their focus and modus operandi of relevance by scandalising! This is no longer Bobbi naGire of Zvimba's type politics! The country is reforming and it will continue doing so no matter how hard this is denied by condescending approvers.

SADC growing up!

Our region is growing up! The position on sanctions against Zimbabwe taken by SADC shows maturity and a growth in geo-political understanding. The equation is getting closer to a solution. An African solution, a very winning African solution!  SADC is on to something here. Hard as it will be, it is exciting! You see, it is a very long history for Africa and Africans being divided and being conquered.

You have to go back to time immemorial to pass through decades upon decades of slavery, colonisation, neocolonialism, conflict, and the modern day trade deals and embargoes. You have to go through the African schematic altering efforts of alien soft power through its propaganda and false images of prioritising Africans by those actually oppressing its progress. There found is a primary external force that has perpetually invaded Africa to change uniform and unitary African forces into opposing and dissonant forces. It therefore comes as a breath of fresh air that had left us, or had never actually resided in us. Africa  is finding its footing to launch its forces from and in directions that are not self-defeating! Invading forces have never been met by all internal forces going uniformly against. A net result of the collision being an outward force from Africa has also been rare. Those whose minds relate to physics will already be linking this to the net magnitude of colliding forces; here be it on Africa by Africans and without.

Here and now emanates the imperativeness to be calculative! SADC has started on this equation. It realises the requirement to be able to launch a force, a good force, a progressive force; in the opposite direction that is at least equal, desirably always proportionate, but with the capacity to overwhelm untoward forces upon us. SADC is learning we are able to do this! SADC is realising we are able to stand firm for principles that support the most vulnerable amongst its people. SADC is realising we are able to converge on Africa's true independence. A convergence on our true potential. SADC is evaluating the meaning of Uhuru together. In SADC we are beginning to stand firm together. Divided, there is some simple physics. Newton's laws, the noble Englishman, his learning and leanings on force's nature are all employable in upwardly adjusting our African foreign policy. Faults are abound, don't get me wrong. Poor governance in Africa, poor governance in Capitol Hill! This is not about war, this is balancing this world and those in it who promulgate waywardness that result in unfair advantage.

One of the reasons invading forces choose to divide is to seek assistance from a fraction of the targeted force and use it to conquer its other fraction. This is revealing in itself. We are unlikely to be conquerable if our forces remained aligned towards Africa's best value! Another reason is; the external invading forces tactically and psychologically negotiates with us by offering a very cheap and depreciating price of ourselves. It says we are in conflict so that it promulgates a negotiation process towards internal compromise and unity. Creating problems where there largely are none! Dug into a hole to make harder your climb of the mountain! They try to make us seek mediocrity of going back above ground. All this is done to avoid us seeing we are not conflicted on what Africa deserves, from all it already has, and especially to stop our united mindsets to grow. They don't want us to grow from our current realisable value towards achieving the premium on our intrinsic capacity and unity's prize. These can only grow if we further investigate how we can leverage and strengthen our resources. The subjugators fear that! SADC is making gains towards just that!

The African mindset has a unity potential that is not factored in when we are offered peace and development that is cheaper than what we are. We are offered goods that are cheaper than what is basically gained from us. Our African forefathers received gin and sugar and gave away their land. Sweet and tipsy, they helped force away men and women, the last of which sailed on Clotilda. The modern of which are Africans who freely board planes to go seek and give permission to foreign forces to come join them defeat the other fraction of us. These converted elements wish foreign boots plus sanctions upon their own.SADC has grown above this! SADC as an example is standing in solidarity with its Zimbabwe.

No matter the situation no matter the subject, Africa needs to pursue this formula. It needs to structure itself on matters of effectively policing itself on matters of governance discipline. It needs to structure its economic activities such that they align with African fair value and advantage. It needs to structure itself in matters of politics; both ruling and opposition parties to align to the African people's integrity as much as the territorial. SADC is making a good step forward here. For that, Pan Africans are thankful. SADC needs to keep on marching forward!

When demonstration delivers only its partial meaning to the country.

When demonstration delivers only its partial meaning to the country.

The 16th of August 2019 demonstration will take only 2 of 3 meanings of the word. It will take the meaning of protesting; the ills that some protesters state they suffer. It will also take the meaning of exposition; of how and to what level the movement that garners it operates. This demonstration however has no credence in claiming the third meaning of the word; validation or corroboration, on the claims and counter claims of the subject matters of instigation and ownership of the country’s ills. History will have it as a fail at linking the protest as an operational mechanism that accurately and effectively targets entities that are guilty for the pains present. Its record will show it as ineffective at driving sustainable and progressive change. The future’s gaze back at history will show this and will harshly question it.

What did the people of those urban areas elect to do in deploying their energies and brawn on that mid August Friday? Who and how many did it intend to leverage? History will show an arrogance in the abandonment of self introspection that better forges a way forward post a realisation of the true self in a global world full of positive and negative forces upon the self and collective. The question unanswered is who are you and why are you who you are, to then think in a clear way and decide why you need what you need with the help of those whom you see as friends ? Some have been lost on this as individuals or members of some movement since inception!

When enemies are seen as friends more than family and comrades:
There is an American nature that is forgotten when the American faces, voices and thoughts come to our shores. The hate that they now readily expose on their own to the world towards their own who just happen to look like us is transformed by high sea winds and violent waves to arrive for misconstruing as love and concern for Africa, through some dollar denominated and dominating accent of righteousness! There is a still growing and perpetuating history that is into the centuries here, that some amongst us now think is only of old and not a factor.

“They have stopped hating us, they are never willing to hurt us again and they will throw money and throw love at us that they cant afford their own and Mexicans . America sacrifices for Zimbabweans to do well!”

The thoughts of desperate oblivion to the point of burning better bridges with whom you could build together a fort. All with whispered urging on by the very enemy. Modern slaves who see American DNA through Netflix and not the microscopic examination by pan African mindsets. Think back from slavery, through colonisation and to modern day trade and embargos.

The extend to which value is not found in African people and the pan African institutions:
It goes to show some leaders find no value in our own in so far as avoiding both short and long term consequences of reloaded and shallowly investigated artefacts of western foreign policy. At the bottom of the iceberg is where Zimbabwe and Zimbabweans need to pin point the nature of foreign interest and its incorrigible parasitic demons that are incompatible with not only our rightful inheritance, but the very nature of our hopeful and independent beings. There are wars internal opponents wish to burden upon the next generations as was upon those past that we celebrated at the dawn of this week. The burden of liberating is not being invited back by omission but by commission! Have we ascertained all the ways foreign powers can reintroduce any of the historical imbalances and unfair gains? Have we? If true of Lobengula’s X signature, he is forgivable for he had no history to learn from. But for this clique of modern day law practitioners cum protesters with a history to lean on...gross negligence of the most pathetic order!

The ushering in of a dangerous precedent:
I amongst many have asked before how long the MDC thinks it could hold to power obtained through such fashion of ungovernability and how its leaders think they can hold on internally when they make it a trend that disorder, sabotage and confrontation become the deciding factors? How long? Can they against a hell bend dirty tactics ZANU PF angling for power in a field that then has an MDC government as a precedent example of national power grabbing? The answer might be yes only with borrowed mighty foreign power! A foreign power that will feed a nation on a sweets diet of the west whilst it harvests minerals as if grains. The hunger and malnutrition (lack of growing entrepreneurship) that persists? Satisfied by mere jobs and money in the ATM! Before you march, I ask, have you settled it with them, who will own what in Zimbabwe? For how much? 30 pieces of silver?  That in itself is a very big problem! A reversal of gains! Occupy Zimbabwe is the underlying invite under the preferred consequences of MDC’s preference for (un)civil confrontation. But they must write “karma is a b***h” on the same wall they wish to write “mene, mene, tekel, parsin” for ZANU PF. For when read together in the time they are preparing for themselves, it will adequately announce poetic justice!

The abdication, being unhinged and deficits that are hidden under the artefact of being a mere option:
ZACC has a better chance of dealing with corruption, so does the TSP at stabilising the economy. None of the above in the current form has been seen here before and none is being afforded good time or non-partisan progressive political influence. Transformation needs transactions by all sides and these take time! Pane akagarira maoko! But MDC and the Chamisa chete chete brigade believe in some sublime power that brings “huchi nemukaka mangwana chaiye”, “US$15b yaka calculate-wa navaBiti” of the now infamous “vakomana vekuhwinha World Cup, ana Pogba!”.

ZACC and TSP are laying out processes with steps, milestones, and trajectories for the latter. The demo has none and neither does RELOAD. It has no proof of conditions that you have never seen, it promises exponential growth trajectories that can never be delivered and has no proof of concept whatsoever! Why is it forced upon us? Naivety and the laziness at inspection. There is a track record of what they feed to followers. There promised anti rigging mechanisms and claimed being rigged. They said they had ALL V11s and they gave none. They said they met Trump but didn’t meet Trump. Now, some still believe they are more truthful and able on the bigger things? Haana chinhu kunze kweshungu uyu! Mere words and jumping castle excitability at the chance to occupy high office and being the centre of attention amidst wailing sirens of a long motorcade. He has his ambitions that include mapikicha naMaikoro ndakachena kani!Zimbabwe seeks visualisable tangibility of its progress. This lot has none! Jambanja chete as they know in fury and in emotion, there found is an easiness to mislead. #ItWasStupid

Disengaged to prefer confrontational engagement of the wayward
I repeat, amidst fury is an ease of misdirection. Wherein fields of fact finding and cultivation lie fallow. You don’t sit to listen or to study in a demonstration. You are armed with perception that at times is dogmatic especially on the way to salvation. You are being led by faith and hope in things you cannot fathom nor you can find detours out of.

Here, and please do hear, prophets and false ones do co-exist. There are those that claim miracle outcomes in this life, and others never even about the intended life to come. Ask them to show you a sign, a miracle; or revise their steps to see what they have done! Alas, the urban councils are a shambles! Is there corruption under their watch? Is there poor governance under their watch? Is there poor supply of sanitation and other household related needs under their watch? Are window panes being fixed quick under their watch?

Only good at the promise of moving a mountain but not blowing away 1 foot sand dunes? Believe what you will and your right to peacefully march if you really will. I will sit and think! I will think whether ZANU PF can be allowed, in fairness, to arrange marches in the future targeting elected municipality officials so that their candidates take over office. I will also think if APA or Dawn or Build Zimbabwe were to grow in numbers, will an MDC government for example accept that they are marched out of office for some performance issue and will the US be sympathetic if such parties are let’s say shored up by the Chinese? Rules of the game that have no feet cannot stand! Neither should they march!

I also will sit and think why a march against the executive and not other arms of government? Why not march for parliament to be dissolved? Why not stand down from the legislative houses and forego the benefits if government is failing? #NyokaHuruHaizvirumi!

I will also sit and think why the recent trend is ignored? Why is the march concentrated in urban areas they run and why not in Lupane East or in Bikita? Harare ndoo vanhu chaiwo? Just Harare is the brain frontal lobe of this country? Be careful for it now appears, patriotically  deciphering here, the very center of cognitive dissonance in this country!

Those familiar with the religious stories of old will relate. And in this I leave you to pursue the future. A man called Esau was well set to inherit a rich future of what belonged to him by birth right. Due to short term hunger his history is neither celebrated nor is it legendary. In his moment of need for a small meal from what he already owned, he gave up everything of it to the one who’s story now endures as a forefather of the tribe of Jesus Christ. May this last holy name bless our vision and may it give Zimbabwe and Zimbabweans progressive focus and actions.
